Ravellenics Day 9 Progress

I finally got to the stockinette portion and it should be smooth sailing right? Well, I have a little problem. When I did the provisional cast on for the afterthought sleeves, I misread the chart and set aside an amount of stitches that are 3 less than what it should be. That means 6 stitches will be missing once I unzip the cast on. I think I can sneak those in during my first round of the sleeve. But my main dilemma now is remembering to make the same mistake on the second sleeve.

Ravellenics Day 7 & 8 Progress

For the life of me, I couldn't get past row 17 of the chart. It was always 1 stitch off. I decided to count between the markers, and I found that in 1 section there were 59 instead of 60 stitches. Then a lightbulb went off. I realized I missed a yarn-over in the middle of the chart on row 15. Word to the wise. Don't knit lace when you are sleepy.

After that, I completed the upper back portion, and I'm currently working on the lower back portion. This join will encompass the right side of the sweater. Can you visualize it? Because I don't see it yet. But, I'm trusting the instructions and following word for word.

I also found a new coffee to keep me awake. Jamaica Me Crazy. Hehe! That's how I felt on row 17.

Ravellenics Day 5 & 6 Progress

The lace portion is getting to a point where I am afraid of messing it up if I work on it during my commute. So, I decided to start working on the next section, which is a band of knits and purls that I will attach to the lace later on.

On day 6, I attended a Malibu rum event, so I didn't knit. I'm sad that I had to sacrifice my knitting. But I'm happy that I didn't sabotage my work thus far.

Ravellenics Day 4 Progress!

Today, the US women's gymnastic team won the Gold. I am so happy and proud of those women.

While watching the games, I made some wonderful progress. I made it to row 12 of the second chart. This lace is going by quicker than I thought it would be. Hopefully,I can finish the remaining 18 rows tomorrow
